Classical Music Concert – Joseph Petric with Ari Cohen Mann

Joseph Petric with Ari Cohen Mann  October 18th, 7:30 pm

We were totally amazed when we heard Joseph with Michael Schulte last year.  Now he’s coming back with a different concert partner – Ari Cohen Mann!  Classical Accordion and Oboe!

Ari Cohen Mann is a dynamic recitalist, new music proponent, orchestral musician, and educator. Ari’s career includes performances as a concerto soloist with the National Academy Orchestra, Canadian Studio Symphony, and Ontario Philharmonic and Ari’s solo debut at Carnegie Hall was with harpist Noël Wan, as featured artists in the Yale in New York series.  As a faculty member at Wilfrid Laurier University, Ari teaches oboe and coaches chamber music.

Joseph Petric’s rich accordion interpretations continue to engage international audiences, with his 360 commissioned works, and dozens of works adapted for accordion.  Joseph is professor and research supervisor for the graduate accordion performance department at the Faculté de Musique, Université de Montréal.

The program for the evening explores the soundscapes of this oboe and accordion duo in an array of works from Telemann to CPE Bach, Ravel to Mozart.

Tickets are only $25.00, and are available through our ticket e-mail saintpaulstickets@gmail.com or by calling our ticket line at 905-853-7285 – option 9.
