The ash, made from the Palm Crosses from the previous year, is now placed upon the forehead of those making their spiritual pilgrimage. It is a reminder that we are fragile, frail people, and that from dust we came, and to dust we will return. That in our signs of humility we are saved by Jesus, and taught to live by his life and teachings.
We will be having two services on Ash Wednesday, one service at 10:00 am and another (choral) service at 7:00 pm. Both services will include the imposition of ashes for those who wish to participate.
