The ‘Take Note Vocal Ensemble’, in partnership with St. Paul’s, is producing a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol”. A group of 5 professional actors will orate a CBC-edited version of the famous tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his late-evening visits from three very unusual uninvited guests! Together with his employee Bob Cratchit and the frail Tiny Tim, they put the spirit of Christmas into the old miser’s soul. Directed by local actor Ken Lloyd, the team of David Simpson, Tristan Claxton, Manon Ens-Lapointe, and Conor Ling will guide you through the story, interspersed with traditional carols and seasonal songs performed by Take Note. There will even be a few carols for the audience to sing along with!
All proceeds from the show will go to the Newmarket Food Pantry (our local food bank – originally established by St. Paul’s). Tickets are only $20.00, and are available in advance by calling 905-853-7285 and pressing 9 (leave a message on our ticket line voicemail) or e-mailing saintpaulstickets@gmail.com . If we are not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door. Wine and beer will be available for cash sale throughout the evening.
“God Bless us, every one!“
