In Harms Way, Is a Regular Day
Health and Healing: We take our health seriously, and it has become even more distinct in our present situation as a people learning to live in a time of a pandemic. Healing is equally valuable as we seek wholeness for ourselves and other people. Health and healing have come to our foreground as a precious value. We realize that there are some in our society which place themselves in harms way so that others do not have to. Some have little choice in performing roles and having responsibilities that takes them to places that test their health and wellness. As a church in our community, we lift up those who seek health and healing.
High Stress, Little Rest
No matter where we live, or who we are: we seek healing and wholeness. We seek this from our God, no only for ourselves but others. Frontline workers are continually put at risk from exposure to Covid-19, as well as, faced with high stress. May our prayers teach us to love our neighbour as much as we love ourselves.
A Bright Spot Amongst Gray Skies
The people that we encounter as society has been restricted with lockdowns, or stay at home orders, have jobs and roles which we rely upon. For some there is little choice in showing up for essential work as their livelihoods depend on the income. We can often take the people in our lives for granted, like when we barely make eye contact with the grocery store clerk. A spirit of gratitude is what can keep us engaged with the many people keeping us safe, and providing us with the necessary things of life. Appreciation is what we as a church do on a regular basis, to give thanks to God so that in every part of our lives we may be thankful people. For our frontline essential workers, we offer our heartfelt gratitude.
Thank you from St. Paul’s
