(Past Event) Habitat Booth at Fairy Lake on Canada Day

Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto (Habitat GTA) is a non profit housing organization that welcomes everyone and helps to provide affordable homes to low income families. This home ownership allows families greater stability and equity for their future. Habitat was formed on Christian principles and is working with OneChurch (a name that stands for many churches working together) to help build a house.

A local family has been selected to own a home in Newmarket and OneChurch is there to help with this Faithbuild. Stop by the Habitat/OneChurch booth at Fairy Lake on Canada Day between 10am and 4pm and learn more about the local build, buy a t-shirt to support the initiative, sign up to participate in the build and dress up in some reno gear and get a picture taken in the photo booth right beside the table.

There are many ways to sign up to participate in the build. Here are some instructions to assist you with online registration (download PDF). Once you’ve read the instructions, you can sign up online. Or you can stop in at the Habitat office at the corner of Church and Eagle Street in Newmarket to sign up if you can’t make it to Fairy Lake!!

Another exciting step in the build process is happening July 9th at 11:00 am. On this date, there will be a ground breaking ceremony at the designated build site. Here’s the invite along with further details.

Come and join the build team!
