(Past Event) Canada 150th Celebration

Saturday, June 24, 11:00 a.m – 2:00 p.m. All members of the community are invited to the St. Paul’s Pioneer Burying Grounds, where you’ll have the chance to meet some of the most illustrious early members of the Newmarket community! A memorial service, to commemorate our ancestors who are buried on this historic plot of land, will take place at noon. Tours will run between 11:00 – 12:00 and again from 1:00 – 2:00. Refreshments will be available.

This is going to be a one-of-a-kind, not to be missed event. Some of the highlights include:

  • – Guided tours of the cemetery.
  • – “Meet” some of Newmarket’s most illustrious early settlers.
  • – There’ll be activities for kids.
  • – And a refreshment tent.

St. Paul’s Pioneer Burying Ground is located on Eagle Street, directly across from The Arts Music Store. Parking will be permitted on neighbouring side-streets. You can also access the grounds from the north off Kathryn Cresent.

See you there!
